Ready-to-use strength with zero mixing. ARDEX D 16 is a Type 1 & 2 premixed tile adhesive (mastic) for setting quarry, ceramic, mosaic, and moisture-insensitive stone — plus porcelain over absorbent interior substrates. Strong sag resistance hangs wall tile up to 12" x 12", so you can open the pail and keep moving.

A white, ready-to-use Type 1 & 2 mastic for interior walls, floors, and countertops.

  • Type: Premixed Type 1 & 2 tile adhesive (mastic) — meets or exceeds ANSI A136.1
  • Sets: Quarry, ceramic, mosaic, and moisture-insensitive stone; porcelain over absorbent interior substrates
  • Substrates: Interior concrete, concrete block, drywall, plaster, brick, and existing tile
  • Sag resistance: Hangs tile up to 12" x 12"
  • Wet areas: Suitable for tub surrounds and intermittent wet areas
  • Working time: Approx. 60 minutes
  • Grout after: Walls in 24 hours, floors in 48 hours
  • Coverage: Up to 175 sq. ft. per 3.5-gallon pail depending on trowel
  • Other: Low odor / low VOC; freeze-thaw stable to 10°F (-12°C) with proper storage

ARDEX D 16™ is easy to apply, offers excellent sag resistance for wall installations, and can be used for tub surrounds and other intermittent wet areas.
