Blanke Aqua Shield DB Waterproof Banding — Seal Every Seam and Joint

A waterproofing membrane is only as good as its seams. Aqua DB banding is the waterproof tape that ties the Aqua Shield system together — sealing seams, overlaps, and movement joints into one continuous barrier. Embed it over the joint in thinset (or seal it with Aqua Seal adhesive in constantly wet conditions) and it flexes with substrate movement without breaking the waterproofing.

Wherever two sheets meet, where the membrane crosses a change of plane, or where a movement joint runs through a wet area, the banding bridges it — so the assembly stays watertight even as the building moves.

Pro tip: Center the band over the joint and embed it fully — no dry spots or trapped air under the tape. Lap successive runs by a couple of inches and tie the banding into the corners and pipe collar so the whole barrier is genuinely continuous.
