Crack isolation made thin, tough, and easy. Blanke SECUMAT is a tear-proof uncoupling membrane — reinforced fiberglass mesh between durable polyester fabric — that isolates cracks over wood or cement at just 1/25" (0.9 mm) thick. It rolls out fast, uses far less thinset than traditional mats, and keeps your floor height down where every millimeter counts.

Blanke SECUMAT — Crack Isolation That Barely Takes Up Space

When floor height is tight — a remodel against an existing threshold, a transition you can't build up — you still need crack isolation, just without the buildup. SECUMAT delivers it at about 1/25" (0.9 mm). Reinforced fiberglass mesh sandwiched between durable polyester fabric gives you tear-proof, dependable crack isolation and uncoupling while keeping the assembly thin and light. It's the leaner, easier-to-handle alternative to a bulky uncoupling mat, and it uses noticeably less thinset, which saves material and time on every job.

It works where you work: floors or walls, residential or commercial, over wood or cement substrates, under ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and even mosaic. For renovations where elevation matters or new construction where you want a clean, low-profile build, it's the smart-money membrane.

Why Tile Pros Choose It

  • Ultra-thin: ~1/25" (0.9 mm) for transitions and height-restricted installs
  • Tear-proof: Reinforced fiberglass mesh between polyester fabric stands up to handling
  • Real crack isolation: Uncouples tile from substrate movement
  • Uses less thinset: Leaner build saves material and labor
  • Versatile: Floors or walls, wood or cement, ceramic through mosaic
  • Easy to handle: Lighter and simpler to set than traditional mats

Pro tip: Because it's so thin, a flat, well-prepped substrate matters — knock down ridges before you bond so the membrane lays flat. Use the trowel notch the data sheet calls for; over-troweling a thin membrane just wastes mortar and can float the mat.
