This system takes the guesswork out of recessing the shower area when a point drain is used. Brackets lock into the existing framing to support a lowered subfloor, creating the ideal depth for mortar beds or direct-bond waterproofing systems—without the complex reframing normally required.

The Rapid Recess bracket system kits provide a solution to lowering the subfloor in preparation for a curbless tile shower without compromising the structural integrity of wood floor joists. Rapid Recess brackets were designed to work with most major tile shower systems currently on the market. Rapid Recess Kits are only suitable for showers that are 25 square feet or less. 

Kit includes:

  • M-Bracket - 47-3/8" long, fastened to the top of the floor joists (x10)
  • Z-Bracket - 5" long side bracket used for wall to recess and main floor to recess transitions (x30)
  • #10 2-3/4" wood to metal self-drilling screws with wings (x40)
  • #10 1-5/8" wood to metal self-drilling screws with wings (x160)
  • #8 x 1 1/4" flat head Phillips coarse thread, exterior rated, polymer coated screws (x60)
