Textured tile and stone are hard on a standard rubber float — the soft face drags, smears, and can leave marks on a surface that isn't easy to clean up. This float's 100% pure urethane bottom is firmer and tougher, so it packs joints full on rough, structured surfaces without marring or scratching the tile. A molded-in plastic backing plate keeps the pad flat and rigid for even pressure across the whole face.
It handles both sanded and unsanded grout, rides on a non-slip comfort-grip handle that stays put through a long grouting session, and the pad measures 3-1/2" x 9-1/2" x 1/2". When you hit narrow or deep joints on detail work, keep a Gundlach grout bag alongside it to place grout exactly where a float can't reach.
Pro tip: Hold the float at about 45° and pull diagonally across the joints to pack them full without dragging grout back out. On heavily textured stone, work in two directions for complete coverage.
