Small holes are the ones that bite back. A 3/16" pilot or trim anchor started with a wandering bit skates across the glaze and spider-cracks it before you've even made the hole. The Montolit FAJ05 drills a clean 3/16" hole through dense porcelain, natural stone, and glass with a vacuum-brazed diamond crown that bites hard and leaves crisp edges — so the small stuff stays accurate and chip-free.
It runs wet or dry, on a drill or an angle grinder, and its balanced body starts where you aim it instead of skating. For dry drilling, dip it in M-PERFORMER cooling gel to keep it cool, and refine the finished hole with the Diamond Countersink to relieve stress and prevent cracks down the road.
Pro tip: Start at a low angle to let the crown bite the glaze, then bring the bit vertical once it's seated. Keep it cool with water or gel — heat is what kills a small bit fastest.
