Montolit FSB Diamond Core Bits — Dry-Cut Openings, No Water, No Mess

Cutting a core hole for a fixture, pipe, or anchor usually means dragging out water and making a slurry mess — not on a finished wall or an occupied space. Montolit FSB core bits skip the water entirely. Vacuum-brazed diamond powers dry through porcelain, ceramic, and granite, cutting clean openings fast, and they mount right on an angle grinder so there's no dedicated rig to haul around. Made in Italy, in sizes from 1/4" up to 4-3/4".

Dry cutting builds heat, so keep the bit alive with a dab of M-PERFORMER cooling gel, and clean up the finished opening with the Diamond Countersink to bevel the edge and relieve stress. For small solid-bit holes, the FAJ diamond drill bits are the companion.

Why Tile Pros Choose It

  • Dry cutting: No water, no slurry — ideal for finished or occupied spaces
  • Fast through hard tile: Vacuum-brazed diamond cuts porcelain, ceramic, and granite
  • Grinder-mounted: Runs on a standard angle grinder, no dedicated rig
  • Wide size range: 1/4" up to 4-3/4" for fixtures, pipes, and anchors
  • Made in Italy: Built to Montolit's standard for life and accuracy
  • Keeps the cleanup short: Your shop vac gets the day off

Pro tip: Start at an angle to bite the surface, then bring the bit upright and let it find its own pace — forcing a dry core bit is what overheats it. Pull out periodically to clear dust and let the diamond cool.
