The Montolit Masterpiuma P5 Italica was designed for one goal: making difficult tile cutting easier, faster, and more repeatable for professional contractors. Whether you’re cutting dense porcelain, textured anti-slip tile, painted surfaces, glass mosaics, or large-format panels, the Italica adapts instantly without slowing down your workflow.
One of the most impressive innovations is the spring-loaded scoring handle. Traditional cutters often require constant adjustment when switching between thick and thin materials. The Italica eliminates that hassle entirely. The scoring wheel automatically follows the tile surface up and down, allowing smooth scoring across varying thicknesses without touching a single adjustment. That’s especially valuable when working with mosaics, textured ceramic, or mixed materials throughout the day.
Montolit also engineered the handle with integrated wheel lubrication. By feeding oil directly to the scoring wheel, the cutter performs dramatically better on rough anti-slip porcelain and large glass tile where friction normally creates chatter and inconsistent breaks. Combined with the multi-bearing handle system, the scoring action feels exceptionally smooth and controlled.
The repetitive cutting system is another standout feature. Instead of completely resetting measurements every time you switch cut sizes, the flip-away measuring guide temporarily moves out of the way and returns directly to the exact previous setting. On production jobs with repetitive cuts, that can save serious time while improving consistency across every piece.
For large-format tile work, the larger Italica models add patented support arms, additional measuring systems, and a rechargeable adjustable laser guide to improve control and visibility during oversized cuts. The removable laser can even be used across other Montolit Masterpiuma cutters for additional versatility.
