The DiStar Edge is a dedicated 45° miter blade for ceramic and porcelain gres — and it cuts dry. A wide 1" (25 mm) double-sided diamond layer gives it the rigidity to hold a stable bevel, and a honeycomb diamond bond keeps cutting fast yet soft and controlled, so the miter comes out chip-free.

Even better, it doubles as a grinder: the same blade refines and smooths the tile edge after the cut, so you're not switching to a cup wheel mid-job. Runs dry on a standard 5/8"-11 angle grinder.

DiStar Edge Dry Diamond Blade — 45° Miters and Edge Grinding in One Tool

Mitered 45° edges are the cleanest way to turn an outside corner without metal trim, but they're also one of the most demanding cuts in tile work: the blade meets the tile at a shallow angle that loads the thin, unsupported edge and invites chipping. The Edge is built for exactly that geometry.

Its wide double-sided diamond layer reinforces the body and creates a large planar surface that rides flat against the tile — a built-in fulcrum that guides the blade in a straight, stable line instead of wandering. The honeycomb bond keeps the cut productive but soft, so the bevel stays chip-free. Then, with no tool change, you flip to using the same wide face to grind and smooth the cut edge.

It runs dry, so there's no water setup on the jobsite — ideal for installs and remodels. For guided, repeatable bevels on large-format tile, pair it with a 45° cutting guide.

Why Tile Pros Choose It

  • Purpose-built for 45°: Rim and body tuned for the angular contact that chips ordinary blades.
  • Cut and grind in one: Bevels the miter, then smooths the edge — no cup-wheel swap.
  • Stable, straight cuts: Wide planar face creates a fulcrum that guides the blade true.
  • Chip-free bevels: Honeycomb bond keeps cutting soft and controlled.
  • Runs dry: No water needed on a standard 5/8"-11 angle grinder.
  • Jobsite-ready: Built for fast, clean miters on installs and remodels.

Usage tip: Let the wide face ride flat against the tile and the fulcrum effect do the steering — for repeatable angles on big tile, run it in a 45° guide.
