A shower doesn't leak in the middle of a wall — it leaks at the weak points: the seams between membrane sheets, the inside corners, and the floor-to-wall transitions where the plane changes. NoFlo banding is what locks those down. It's a 5"-wide fleece-backed strip that bonds over every seam and corner to tie the whole waterproofing job into one continuous surface.
Like the membrane, it's thin and flexible, so it folds into a crisp inside corner and holds the crease instead of springing back, and a printed center indicator down the strip keeps it aligned as you seat it into a corner. It bonds the same way — thinset with full mortar transfer into the fleece — so it becomes part of the membrane rather than a patch sitting on top of it.
Band every membrane seam, every inside and outside corner, and every change of plane; handle the trickier junctions with pre-formed NoFlo inside and outside corners (and 135° corners for angled walls), and seal penetrations with the NoFlo pipe and valve seals. Pro tip: Pre-fold the banding down its printed center line before setting it into an inside corner, so it seats tight without bridging the crease. Overlap onto the membrane the full width on each side and check mortar transfer — a dry spot in the banding is a dry spot in your waterproofing.
