A pool is the most punishing place you can put a sealant: permanent water immersion, constant chlorine or salt, UV all day, and pool chemicals working on the joint around the clock. Ordinary silicone cracks, fades, and lets go. Maxisil Pool is a neutral-cure silicone engineered specifically for that abuse.
It's highly resistant to chlorine, salt water, and pool chemicals, so it stays flexible and intact instead of cracking or fading, and it's loaded with strong fungicides to fight the mould that thrives in warm, wet pool and spa environments. UV-stable and built for interior and exterior water, it's the sealant for swimming pools, water features, fountains, hot tubs, spas, and saunas.
Because it lives underwater, prep matters: use a Maxisil primer on substrates like concrete, plaster, ceramic tile, stainless steel, and anodized aluminium, and wash off any smoothing-agent residue with clean water before you flood the pool. Note it's not for marble or natural-stone pools — use the non-staining Maxisil Natural Stone there. For ceramic and porcelain wet areas outside the water, use Maxisil Wet Area. Tool it clean with Maxisil Smoothtex.
Pro tip: Prime the substrate per the data sheet before you seal, and always wash smoothing-agent residue off with clean water before flooding — leftover residue can seed mould growth on an otherwise bulletproof joint. Give it a full cure before the pool goes under water.
